SCI had the pleasure to collaborate with Atelier Ochre and Daryl Fitzgerald on the restoration of this beautiful 1800s building. The goal was to retain the original character of the property whilst bringing it up to date with the new fire regs.
We used abrasive blasting to clean the cast iron metallic structure, open joists and board ceiling, and then applied intumescent paint to achieve 60 minutes of fire resistance. We also blast-cleaned the walls to remove the old paint and expose the bricks – this required precision to avoid damage.
Our satisfaction with seeing this project completed was elevated by the client’s feedback:
“Thank you for staying with us in all the changes and uncertainties. Your work in Battersea Square is probably the most important design element of the entire project and we are all very happy with how it has turned out with your team.”
While we may be a young company, SCI team comprises heaps of experience, determination and a desire to strive for excellence.
