Hydroblasting Training

HPWJ and UHPWJ Training at Hydroblast Ltd

Our managing director Cosmin and our supervisor Julius recently undertook a specialist training course on HPWJ (High Pressure Water Jetting) and UHPWJ (Ultra High Pressure Water Jetting), also known as hydroblasting. At SCI, we are constantly upskilling ourselves on industry techniques and technologies to make sure we’re able to carry out all methods to a high standard.

HPWJ and UHPWJ is a powerful surface preparation technique which removes contaminants, rust, and old coatings from surfaces to get them ready for the application of a new protective coating. Due to the hazards associated with this technique, it must be carried out by highly trained professionals – proper training, equipment, and safety measures are paramount to ensuring a successful and effective process. The method is particularly useful in situations where the debris from abrasive blasting could harm the surrounding environment or machinery – for example, in the marine industry.

A massive thank you to Hydroblast Limited for the hospitality!
